• Water Conservation
  With regional snowpack levels at only 50-60%, water conservation has become more critical than ever. Mount Rainier is dedicated to preserving this precious resource by promoting responsible usage and offering water bottle filling stations throughout our locations.
• Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
  Mount Rainier is proud to support sustainable transportation with accessible Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations at both the National Park Inn and Paradise Inn. We’re creating EV-friendly spaces that make it easy for you to reduce your carbon footprint during your visit.

Safety Initiatives 

• Operational Key Access
  To ensure guest and staff safety, we’ve implemented secure key tracking systems to prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Rodent Control
  We’ve established comprehensive rodent control procedures for public spaces and employee housing, enhancing health and safety for everyone on-site.

Sustainability Efforts You’ll Notice 

• Plastic reductions are a key focus. We’ve eliminated straws entirely, and single-use plastics now account for less than 1% of our operations. 
• Only reusable bags are available in our gift shops.
• All to-go food is served using compostable flatware and containers. 
• Six transportation vans and two maintenance trucks are now powered by propane.
• Our guest rooms feature automatic lighting and recycling bins, so your stay is as eco-friendly as possible.
• We donate all partially used toiletries and no-longer-useful linens to local rescue missions, ensuring nothing goes to waste.
