Fishing at Mt. Rainier

Although not stocked, Mt. Rainier waterways are home to brook trout, Dolly Varden trout, cutthroat trout, rainbow trout and kokanee salmon.

Guests and visitors taking advantage of our Naturalist Programs at Mt. Rainier should note that the supply of fish is not endless and are asked to use barbless hooks and artificial lures. Licenses are not required for fishing in the park, but Washington State fishing regulations apply.
