Paradise Inn
Paradise Inn has been designated as one of the “Great Lodges of the West” from the day it opened in 1917. Paradise Inn offers 121 guest rooms, the Paradise Inn Dining Room, Tatoosh Cafe, and gift shop filled with souvenirs, apparel, memorable gifts, prints from local photographers, and pottery crafted by local artisans.

In 1919, Han Fraehnke, a German carpenter, added much of the decorative woodwork that he designed and built himself. A skilled craftsman, Han also built the lodge’s rustic piano and the 14-foot grandfather clock.

Step outside the historic Paradise Inn and be welcomed by the sight of meadows in full bloom and miles of trails that lead to outdoor adventures in all directions the way it was meant to be, free from modern life stresses and distractions. Stand in awe of Nisqually Glacier and head out to exciting activities from hiking and history to mountain climbing and fishing.

National Park Inn
Open year round and located in the Longmire Historic District of Mount Rainier National Park, National Park Inn provides the wandering traveler with 25 cozy rooms, a family-friendly casual restaurant and general store located in a vintage 1911 log cabin. The rustic guest lounge is warmed by an oversized stone fireplace, making National Park Inn a special getaway for those seeking a respite from stress and distractions.

Mount Rainier’s majestic presence is the backdrop for National Park Inn guests as they step onto the veranda and take in the sight of a mountain that has captured the breath of early settlers and given modern-day vacationers a place to breath. Embraced by woodland forests, intoxicated by the colors and aromas of local flora and fauna, the National Park Inn invites guests to dine in our casual restaurant and visit our general store filled with souvenirs, apparel, memorable gifts, and pottery crafted by local artisans. The shop offers cross-country ski equipment and snowshoe rentals during the winter months.
