Know Before You Go

All park visitors are required to pay an entrance fee upon entry year-round. Some fees are available for prepayment online.

The following fees can be prepaid online at:

Private Vehicle ($30, valid for seven days)
Motorcycle ($25, valid for seven days)
Individual/Bicycle ($15, valid for seven days)
Mount Rainier Annual Pass ($55 valid for one year from month of purchase)

Prior to visiting the park, visitors are required to print a hard copy pass for entry. If the pass has not been printed, an entrance fee will be charged. The hard copy pass must be presented at entrance stations and displayed on the vehicle dashboard at trailheads, campgrounds, and parking areas.

Entrance fees are waived at National Park Service-managed sites on the following days in 2019:

January 21 – Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
April 20 – First Day of National Park Week/National Junior Ranger Day
August 25 – National Park Service Anniversary
September 28 – National Public Lands Day
November 11 – Veterans Day
